Donations

The Vernon District Public Library accepts in-kind, monetary, memorial, and local history donations. Review the options below to learn how you can help support the VDPL and your community.

In-Kind/Material Donations

The VDPL is currently accepting the following:

  • Audio Books
  • Large Print Books
  • DVDs
  • Gently used children's books
  • Books that are
    • "Like-new"
    • published within the last 10 years strongly preferred

The VDPL is NOT accepting: Encyclopedias, text books, manuals, magazines, VHS or cassette tapes, nor music CDs.

Monetary/Memorial Donations

All checks should be made payable to Vernon District Public Library.

Donations may be made in memory of a loved one. Books are purchased based on your loved ones' reading interests and receive memorial book plates with your loved ones' name.

Local History Donations

VDPL now houses a local history area and would love to digitize any local history items you may have.  Please call to make an appointment to get your items scanned.  You will need to fill out a brief form which you can complete upon arrival.

If you would like to donate the physical local history items to the library, please stop in or call the library (989-288-6486) for more details.
